INSET Days
Every school has a number of INSET (In-Service Education and Training) days each year, which are dedicated to staff training and play a vital role in a teacher’s professional development. The Government is committed to raising educational standards and supports teachers in this by providing opportunities for ongoing training and development. INSET days are a valuable tool for headteachers to ensure that staff continue to build their skills and stay up to date with the latest knowledge and practices.
At our school, INSET days have been used to provide training on safeguarding and Prevent Duty, first aid, pupils' mental health, and other key areas of professional development.
Pupils do not attend school on INSET days.
